Strap a jetpack to a pillow, point it at a house full of chickens and fire buttons until something gives. Pillow vs Chickens is a side-scrolling shooter that never asks you to slow down — hand-drawn, loud and cheerfully out of control.
It comes from Anate Studio, the developer behind Little Kite, Repentant and The Safe Place. Same studio, none of the melancholy.
Steam first. Nintendo Switch, Xbox and PlayStation are ours to bring it to.
Gameplay
Fly, shoot, and when the screen fills up, let off a shockwave that sends chickens, crates and washing machines tumbling out of the way. Between the flocks there are saw-rollers, spikes, magnets and crushing gates — and a fire pillow for when buttons alone will not do.
Every level hides coins, crystals and life feathers, keeps three stars back for the players who earn them, and has room on the sofa for a second pillow.
